Saint Valentine's Day

Saint valentine was a christian priest that was living in the rome of the third century, when the christians were prosecuted, he decided to marry couples under the Christian ritual.

Valentine acquires for protecting the lovers and secret weddings support great prestige in the whole city and is called by the emperor Claudio II to know about him. The priest takes advantage of that visit to do propaganda of the Christian religion and to convince the emperor in order that he follow Jesus' steps. Though in a beginning Claudio II felt attracted by that religion that the same Romans were chasing, the soldiers and they forced the own Governor of Rome to desist and organized a campaign in opposition to Valentine. The Roman emperor changed opinion and ordered the governor of Rome to sue the priest.

The mission to condemn the priest had to take her I finish the deputy, Asterius. This one, when he was in front of the priest, joked of the Christian religion and wanted to test Valentín. He asked him if he would be capable of returning the sight to one of his daughters who was blind of birth. The priest agreed and in name of the Gentleman he worked the miracle. The deputy and all his family turned to the christianity but they could not free Valentín of his martyrdom. San Valentín was executed on February 14.

Hii I'm Carmen and I'm 13 years old. I'm blond, my eyes are green , I have glasses , it are blue, I'm very tall. My favourite singer is Juanes. And my favourite book is Memorias de Idhún. My father's name is José Manuel, and my mother's name is Mª del Carmen. I have a brother, his name is Sergio, he is 16 years old.

My name is Miguel Angel Pelayo Prieto, I live in Zamora and I'm studying at the 2º Course of ESO in the Secundary School "Rio Duero". I am 13 years old. I'm short and I have got brown hair and brown eyes. I love Japan and Warhammer (I like drawing manga!). I live with my parents and with my dog. My dog's name is Inu ("dog" in Japanese). It's a Westy ( West Higland White Terrier).

The Earthquake of the Indian Ocean of 2004, known by the scientific community as the earthquake of Sumatra-Andaman, was a submarine earthquake that happened to on 07:58 in the local time of the region of December 26, 2004, with epicentre on the coast of the west of Sumatra, Indonesia. The earthquake I cause a series of devastating tsunamis along the coasts of the majority of the countries that border on the Indian Ocean, killing to a persons's great quantity to his step and flooding to a great quantity of coastal communities across almost all the south and south-east of Asia, including parts of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, and Thailand.

The globe theatre, London

The original Globe Theatre opened in 1599. In those days about 3.000 people came to watch each performance. The stange was in the middle of the theatre and the audience sorrounnded it on all sides.Rich people sat on the stage balcony.Poor people stood in an area called ''the pit'' below the stage.They stood during the entire performance, which was about three hours long.People walked in an out of the theatre as often as they liked and bought food and drink with them.In fact, they threw food at the didn't like! In 1613, the theatre burned down.A new theatre was built, but it closed in 1642.

400 years later, a new Globe Theatre stands 200 metres from its original localitation.

The bew Globe Theatre opened in 1994. Every year, thousands of visitor from all over the world come to see the theatre. There is also a permanent exhibition there, so visitors can learn about Shakespeare and about the society he lived and worked in.
